Tough Ten Challenges

Raising funds for:

Lifeboats

Founded in 1824 the RNLI is a charity that saves lives at sea, since its conception over 137,000 lives have been saved thanks to our dedicated crews. The RNLI receives no government funding for it’s lifeboat service and is therefore 100% reliant on public support for its continuation.

Since 2001 Weston-super-Mare’s lifeboat has launched 344 times. They have rescued 215 people, including swimmers, leisure craft users, windsurfers, fishermen and people stranded by the rising tide.

The Weston-super-Mare crew live within the local community, all are volunteers, giving up their time and risking their lives by responding to launches at a moments notice.

Through your support we want to raise enough money to continue to train and equip these brave volunteers, like the newest member of the Weston-super-Mare team, Simon Cresser who recently joined the crew.

In recognition of their hard work and commitment, we are looking for runners to join our RNLI Crew Support Team in the Tough Ten Challenge and raise money in support of the station. To find out more information, or to sign up to support the RNLI crew, please click here.

With your help, we can continue to save lives at sea.
